James sighed to himself before he began to write.
Dear Diary,
I have no idea how I am going to do this. I've been harboring this secret from Kas. Yes, I knew her parents. That's why I'm trying to protect her now, but man there is so much that she doesn't know. I knew both of her parents. Sure her dad was an okay guy, but the real secret is that even after Kas was born her mother and I were in a relationship. As scarred as Kas is by both her parents being deceased, I've been scarred too.
